Lead with Impact as the Senior Manager, Retail & Shopper Analytics
At Hanesbrands Inc., we are redefining the business analytics in the apparel industry, and data is at the core of everything we do. As the Senior Manager, – Retail & Shopper Analytics, you will lead a team of talented analysts and work at the intersection of data, strategy, and retail sales. Reporting to the Director of Business Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in guiding our company’s shopper & retail strategies by translating data into meaningful insights that drive sales, channel strategy, merchandizing, and enhance partnership with our retail partners.
Responsibilities
- Business Acumen: Develop a deep understanding of HBI’s business strategies, objectives, and competitive landscape. Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, product, finance, and supply chain to utilize analytics in support of decision making that drive business results.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of business analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful execution of analytics projects. Cultivate a culture of business-focused analytics that drive sales and value to shopper and retail partners. Oversee business analytics initiatives and ensure the delivery of actionable insights for Sales and our retailer partners.
- Business Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute data-driven strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives. Lead your business analyst team to identify critical business challenges and growth opportunities, proactively identifying solutions that drive growth, efficiency, cash generation, and profitability.
- Data Analysis: analyses data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive value for the shopper, retail partners, and HbI.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Director Business Analytics, Sales and key stakeholders, including marketing, finance, operations, and product development, to identify opportunities for growth across innovation, assortment, merchandizing, and promotion program.
- Communication and Data Storytelling: Effectively translate analytical findings into actionable insights. Effectively communicate to audiences across all levels. Develop and coach the business analytics team in effective communication and data storytelling.
- Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in analytics, and continuously seek opportunities to enhance analytical capabilities and drive innovation for you and your team.
Minimum Education/ Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business or a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, economics, computer science, or related field with 10+ years relevant work experience. 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Education/ Experience
Master's degree 8+ years relevant work experience
Specific Skills or Experience Required
- 8+ years experience in category management, sales analyst, or sales planning, or, with a track record of success in leading teams.
- Experience Circana and Nielsen and point of sale and panel data strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis and good understanding of programming languages such as SQL.
- Experience with Target and Roundel is a big plus. Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets and communicate findings effectively.
