Overview
As a Product Marketing & Management Manager, you will be responsible for leading key growth initiatives within the omnichannel Intimates business. You will drive the strategy, development, and successful launch of innovative products that meet consumer needs across key channels and align with the company's business objectives. This role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking, assortment planning, and channel management expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully managing and growing a product portfolio, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Offering strategy
- Responsible for product line planning and assortment strategies for the Maidenform business to drive market share, sales and profit, while managing inventory KPI’s
- Assist market analysis and research activities to generate actionable consumer insights to support and inform strategic decision making related to the assortment (ie: product offerings, packaging, PDP presentation, pricing, positioning etc.)
- Monitor the market and competitive landscape across channels to identify trends and opportunities across key product categories
- Track and report selling performance of the assortment to provide insights-driven recommendations and opportunities
- Garment/product design and development
- Provide briefs and frameworks which give clear product direction and information to development and design partners
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations & Design C2C calendar to ensure timeline adherence and track progress against key calendar milestones
- Manage and contribute to efforts related to systems set ups and execution
- Sell to the customer
- Responsible for building and delivering impactful sales/customer presentations, both internally and externally to key retailers/partners
- Work as a lead with Sales on sell-in, preparing data-driven collateral for key customer accounts
- Plan production/produce the range
- Collaborates cross-functionally with multiple teams to ensure launch & inventory plans are executed on time with specific attention to seasonal newness, product updates and new program concepts
- Drive inventory management activities with focus on managing metrics including sku count, inventory dollars, turns, and GMROI
- Sell to the consumer
- Analyze consumer needs, preferences, and shopping behaviors to help drive development and channel decisions
- Own sampling and photoshoot activities to deliver impactful and brand-right digital assets
- Work cross-functionally to develop packaging and copy to communicate consumer-led features and benefits
- Operating planning & Financial management
- Drives analysis of wholesale pricing strategies and cost analysis
- Assists in managing operating plan and projection analysis: shipment/pos/inventory evaluation, recommendations, and monthly tracking to ensure financial and inventory goals met
- Assists in managing the lifecycle management of product assortments
- Contributes to managing MAP budgets and invoice coding
- Partners with sales, finance, supply chain to meet sales and profit goals for the business
Minimum Education/ Experience
Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years relevant work experience OR Master’s degree with 5+ years experience in a related field.
Preferred Education/Experience
Masters degree in marketing or brand management.
Specific Skills or Experience Required
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA degree preferred
- 7+ years of merchandise planning, marketing, or retail management/direct to consumer experience
- Experience building and executing product marketing plans within a cross functional team
- Experience in leveraging consumer data to drive sales growth and business opportunities
- Experience growing businesses within ecommerce channels; social commerce experience a plus
- Strategic mindset and ability to effectively communicate opportunities internally and externally
- Ability to conduct varied types of analyses to inform decision making
- Demonstrated ability to creatively adapt to change
- Comfortable taking initiative and driving to clarity in ambiguous environments
