Overview

The Polo Underwear Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key accounts, and executing brand strategy for the Polo innerwear product line. This role combines strategic planning, relationship management, and hands-on sales execution to maximize revenue, market share, and brand visibility.

 

Major Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and implement targeted sales strategies to achieve revenue and share growth targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior
  • Identify new business opportunities and distribution channels
  • Lead assortment strategies and negotiate product placement (space and location)
  • Accurately forecast sales projections and manage trade spend budgets
  • Support inventory management and production planning with in-depth analytics
  • Subscribes to the highest standards of business ethics and Global Code of Conduct

Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retail and wholesale partners
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional agreements
  • Monitor account performance and ensure alignment with brand standards
  • Conduct regular business reviews with major clients and internal business teams.
  • Lead seasonal business and product reviews with account leadership

Brand Representation

  • Ensure consistent execution of brand image and merchandising standards
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on campaigns, product launches, and promotional strategies.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track and report on sales performance, KPIs, and market insights
  • Use data to adjust strategies and improve results
  • Prepare regular reports for senior management

 

Minimum Education/ Experience

Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant work experience OR Master's + 3+ relevant work experience; 4+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree.

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS) required
  • 5+ years sales experience, preferably in apparel, fashion or consumer goods
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with retail and ecommerce distribution channels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace
