The part-time internship program is designed for juniors, seniors, or actively enrolled graduate students from colleges or universities partnered with HanesBrands. Students must be early career, degree-seeking, and have good academic and disciplinary standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. The internship program covers various functional areas, including Innerwear, HR/Legal, Strategy and IT, Supply Chain, and Finance. As a remote or hybrid, part-time position, this internship offers students the flexibility to adjust their work hours around their school schedule, ensuring a balanced approach to academic and professional development. Additionally, this job provides access to benefits such as the Employee Assistance Program and Retirement Savings Plan. A full benefits package (prorated vacation days and holidays) may also be available if the required average hours for eligibility are met, which is at least 30 hours per week (or 130 hours per month).

 

This position is responsible for supporting sales manager to drive profitable sales and market share growth. The role will be responsible for analytics, tracking and tactical execution of well thought-out sales and inventory management strategies.  The role is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams, focused on HBI’s Innerwear national brands, such as Hanes.  The ideal intern should be a high energy strategic thinker, analytical, results oriented, and have a desire to learn. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify, compile and filter data from various sources internally and externally.
  • Evaluate the data to form conclusions,  turn the conclusions into well thought out strategic sales strategies; communicate, present, and execute the tactics to deliver favorable results.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of retail partner data sources and perform analysis including sales, assortment insight, with a focus on profit management.
  • Help manage forecasting and planning process for retailer assortments.
  • Handle tasks including but not limited to maintaining order tracking,  available inventory reports, pricing analysis, order submissions, pricing adjustments, item setup and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot issues/opportunities to ensure successful execution of programs and completion of objectives.
  • Develop strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams.
  • Gain understanding of the marketing and sales process with the ability to communicate and execute against key strategies to drive both sales and profitability.
  • Gain knowledge of specific brands, product categories, competitive brands and retail merchandising best practices.

 

Minimum Education/ Experience

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited university, both at the time of application and throughout the internship duration.

Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience.

Major in Business, Communictions, Texitle, Marketing or Fashion preferred

 

Entry-level knowledge/experience:

Demonstrated experience in independent, team-based, or entry-level roles (e.g., school projects, part-time employment, volunteer work, etc.).
