Job Overview:

 

As part of a team, qualified individuals are responsible for picking customer orders in a timely and efficient manner according to the facility standards.  Automated or manual picking may be used depending on the team and location.  May be responsible for picking multiple customer orders from open stock according to style, size, color and quantity requirements. Must indicate items not picked by department procedure to ensure the quality of the process.

 

Major Responsibilities:

 

  • Pick the number of units indicated on the scanner screen/ content label. Scan each unit and place in a carton.
  • When picks are complete order on the scanner and start another order. Repeating process.
  • Remove any empty cases from the pick location and place them on take takeaway conveyor or on the picking cart.
  • Perform other duties assigned.

Specific Skills or Experience Required:

 

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple math.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to learn and comprehend distribution/ production business.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies, and work environment.
  • Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced team environment.

 

Job Specific Competencies:

 

Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lbs. are required frequently throughout the workday at an average pace. Frequent standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and crouching are required throughout the workday. Visual acuity within a normal range is required with or without corrective lenses.
