Summary

Responsible for operating a cherry picker or other power equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack and stage  product. Use radio frequency equipment for order picking cases needed for replenishing the pick lines as required. The operator is accountable for the safe and efficient operation of the vehicle and may also be required to perform other duties. Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.

Responsibilities

• Pull and palletize needed product for the pick lines ensuring that the exact number and type of product is correct making sure not to under or over pull.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• May need to Put-Away or move product to storage locations.
• Unload incoming trailers and stage on the dock to be received.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or storage areas into drop zones or trailers.
• Using a wrist mount or fixed scanner, always scan the case ID when moving product to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained.
• Assist with non routine duties such as labeling and wrapping full pallet picks as required.
• Assist in physical inventories.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS Standards.
• Perform Daily checklists on equipment and report problems to supervision/maintenance.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be certified and licensed to operate powered equipment by a certified trianer at this facility
• Read and write, preferably in English, to understand basic work instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide simple math.
• Good hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to learn and comprehend distribution/ production business.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to adapt to changing procedures, policies, and work environment.
• Must be able to work safely in a fast-paced team environment.
