General Statement of Job:

Assists the supervisor(s) with the workflow and ensures that shift/department goals are met.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Understanding of shift/department priorities (workflow).
2. Assign orders and directs teams as assigned.
3. Follows through with orders while maintaining constant communication with supervisor(s) and scheduler(s).
4. Communicates with the “scheduler(s)” for orders assignment.
5. Ensures that deadlines are met.
6. Helps develop solutions and methods to improve process.
7. Provides handoff sheets to supervisor(s) at the end of shift.
8. Other duties as required by supervisor(s).
9. Demonstrated leadership skills.

It is not intended that this job description include all detail of the work function inherent in this position, nor does it give exclusive title to every function described.  The position incumbent will perform work of equal or lower classification as required or directed, and also work of higher classification for training purpose, or as warranted by emergency circumstances.

Physical Skills:

Works with some simultaneous motions of hands, arms and feet.  Must be proficient in operating forklift and powered material handling equipment.

Physical Demand:

Job requires frequent walking, bending, standing, reaching, and lifting of weights up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions:

Exposure to dust and dirt.  Extremes in temperatures are experienced in the warehouse areas.
