This individual will lead a dynamic team that supports multiple areas within Supply Chain Finance. Duties and responsibilities for the team will be varied and will change based on the needs of the business on a day-to-day basis but will be related to inventory adjustments, freight, intercompany, excess and obsolete inventory, inventory reporting, manufacturing support departments and SOX and other internal controls around Supply Chain Finance processes. As a manager, you will need to orchestrate the efforts of the team to focus on the most critical tasks and timelines.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Adjustment Responsibilities:

  • Prepare daily reporting on interface errors between WMS and SAP and log the appropriate tickets to get them resolved.
  • Track inventory adjustments and report on them weekly by facility and nature. Understand the root causes of these adjustments and ensure they are properly accounted for as well as the related offsets.
  • Summarize and report on inventory adjustments for the total month.
  • Summarize and report on cycle count results and accuracy by distribution facility (globally)
  • Create/Develop presentations for finance and operations to highlight opportunities related to inventory management.

Freight Related Responsibilities:

  • Obtain reports from Logistics showing all the container moves and work with Logistics to ensure the lanes are properly valued as the basis for recognizing monthly expense and the freight accrual.
  • Summarize and report on monthly freight expense by mode of transportation (Ocean freight, air freight, etc.)
  • Analyze freight spend, understanding variances to budget.
  • Obtain carrier statements monthly and reconcile with reporting from the 3PL to ensure invoices are being properly captured and paid.
  • Follow-up on open / unpaid invoices with the carrier, 3PL and Logistics to address process issues.
  • Work with Logistics to create annual spending budget and quarterly plans / updates.

Intercompany Related Responsibilities:

  • Ensure intercompany profit eliminates globally across the organization.
  • Ensure intercompany receivables and payables are timely settled.
  • Ensure intercompany transactions are being properly reflected in the ledger.
  • Follow-up on any monthly out-of-balances, identify root causes and work across the team to address them.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations related to intercompany accounts.

Excess & Obsolete Inventory Responsibilities:

  • Run monthly Life Cycle Analyzer (LCA) reports that calculate excess and obsolete reserves
  • Record the related journal entries to reflect these costs in the respective ledgers (SAP S4, SAP AFS & Lawson)
  • Enhance reporting tools related to excess and obsolete inventory to assist sales and marketing to have clear understanding of reserves by sku
  • Provide analytics around the quality of inventory monthly.
  • Validate that changes in inventory status approved by the marketing teams are appropriately reflected in the LCA tool.

SOX & Other Internal Control Responsibilities:

  • Ensure journal entries across the Supply Chain are properly uploaded in the designated locations and proper approvals have been obtained in compliance with policy.
  • Ensure Blackline reconciliations are timely prepared and approved.
  • Ensure other key controls within Supply Chain Accounting are being performed timely and appropriately approved.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests related to Supply Chain Finance internal controls.

Inventory Reporting Responsibilities:

  • ​​Report and analyze monthly inventory valued at $1.5 billion for the total Company
  • ​Calculate the months in inventory (MII) by growth team and total business 
  • Record certain adjustments as needed to balance inventory to perpetuals.
  • ​Support internal and external audit inventory requirements for the business 
  • ​Support other ad-hoc requests and responsibilities as provided by Supply Chain management. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.  
  • Proficient in English 
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word 
  • Demonstrated analytical curiosity 
  • Excellent communication skills required. 
  • Prior experience with SAP and Lawson preferred
