Position Overview (Briefly describe primary purpose of position.  No more than 2-3 sentences.)

The Sortrak Associate is responsible for ensuring inventory feeds through the Sortrak machine smoothly and clearing complete orders timely to prevent backlogs. Identify, locate, scan and pick batches from assign zoned storage racks, place in tote/case and place on conveyor. Monitor the put wall locations using a color coded light system, clearing complete orders, and ensuring the orders are placed on to the shipping belt quickly and efficiently

Essential Functions

Finished Goods Job Duties

  • Cut open bundles and place rubber bands around flaps
  • Load buggy with bundles
  • Use RF scanner to Scan bundles
  • Pull buggy to proper pick locations within your zone
  • Match bundle on buggy with correct location
  • Scan and put correct bundle in proper pick rack location.

Picking Job duties

  • Use RF scanner to verify and determine status and prioritize orders.
  • Navigation of the picking zone as needed to determine the correct location for products.
  • Correctly identify flow rack and product location assigned by RF scanner             
  • Read and scan SKU’s of the appropriate items as directed by RF scanner
  • Place assigned product to assigned tote on cart
  • Place completed on designated conveyor
  • Remove empty cartons from flow racks, pull down full cartons, verify SKU’s, location and garments and rubber band box flaps
  • Secure all assigned equipment daily

Induction Job Duties

  • lifting full cases and totes
  • Verify case label to product
  • Use DCMS software to induct each garment to each open tray
  • placing empty cartons/totes on applicable conveyor
  • Standing for long periods of time in a stationary position/location         

Put-wall Job duties

  • Receive garments from designated location
  • Scan garment and place garment in correct lighted put wall cube
  • Pack out designated put wall cubes, scan and place on shipping belt
  • Cross training is a mandatory part of this job function

Packout Job duties

  • Gather correct size carton(s) from designated area
  • Place barcode on case, scan label into system and place empty case into designated slot within Sortrak
  • As system designates, scan and push case on to shipping belt
  • Cross training is a mandatory part of this job function

 

 

QC Job duties

  • Remove bundle from conveyor and place on bench.
  • Pull and scan carton/tote
  • Open carton/tote, remove and scan each garment with RF scanner
  • Return garment to carton/tote, tape and return to conveyor if no errors found.
  • Place carton/tote in designated hospital area if errors are found

 

 

Set-Up for Daily Operations

  • At the start of the shift, the employee will review the work instructions and schedule with the supervisor
  • The employee will obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare of operations.
  • The employee will put on all the required PPE and safety gear.

End of Shift Duties

  • The employee will follow end of shift procedures and perform general housekeeping duties, sweep, pick up trash, trimmings and other debris from the work area and place it in the proper receptacles or move the compactor
  • The employee will secure all equipment and machinery ad complete all required paperwork.
  • The employee will complete other duties as directed by the Supervisor

Compensation Information

ROP: $17.25, plus $1.50 Shift Differential
