Position Overview (Briefly describe primary purpose of position.  No more than 2-3 sentences.)

Install, repair, maintain and specify parts for electrical/electronic components and electrical equipment including but not limited to motors, control panels, production equipment, monitoring equipment, security systems, utility equipment and their auxiliaries, etc.  Perform all duties utilizing and in accordance with diagrams, operations manuals, schematics, codes and manufacturer’s specs and safety guidelines. Apply LEAN principles and techniques effectively.

Essential Functions

  • Performs all required operations to install, maintain, and repair all mechanical machinery and equipment as required.
  • Installs, repairs, and adjusts all machinery and equipment from specifications, drawings, verbal and written instructions, and other information.
  • Tears down equipment to determine extent of trouble and adjusts for proper operations.
  • Installs special attachments and uses hand and power tools necessary to complete repair process.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all equipment as required.
  • Duties performed will pertain to carpentry, millwright, welding, plumbing, steam-fitting, construction, painting, plant security, and/or machine repair.
  • May perform other related duties as necessary.
  • Observes all safety rules and regulations for self and others.
  • Maintains good housekeeping.
  • Computer literate.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

 

 

High School diploma or equivalent required; working mathematical knowledge; computer literate;  working knowledge of power tools and voltage meter; blue print knowledge a plus;  working carpentry knowledge; working plumbing knowledge; electrical degree a plus;  ability to compile and maintain safety data.  Must have a clean driving record and be flexible with working between the Cleveland and Canterbury buildings.

Certification Required

 

 

Must be able to attain PIT certification through training department
