This position is responsible for data collection/analysis and support for the company’s insurance policies and programs, including underwriting and other departmental data; preparing financial disbursements for approval; data collection and other support tasks.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Data Support /Analysis:
    • Supports the collection of insurance renewal data as assigned by Manager.  Provides timely and accurate responses to data requests and inquiries from internal partners regarding insurance programs and premium allocations. Validates data submissions and reports on outliers. Assists with the collection and analysis of audit data required by insurers, and completes quarterly audit reports. Creates, maintains, and updates claims coding and location information in databases, including legacy claims programs. Ensures integrity of historical and current data. Serves as “superuser” for RMIS program to launch renewal surveys and maintain property details and information.    
  • Financial Transactions:
    • Maintains accurate financial transaction records for department, including budget spend oversight. Prepares accurate vouchers/disbursements and treasury requests for review and approval by Manager and/or Director. Tracks all vendor payments through completion and manages vendor inquiries. Serves as the primary contact with broker team to assist with the collection of international payments for global programs such as property, marine cargo, and foreign liability; answers business unit questions related to financial transactions. Assists with annual departmental budget template by gathering and providing preliminary data analysis and tracks budget status throughout the year.
  • Customer Service:
    • Monitors internal requests via the Global Insurance Risk Management team email and SharePoint site – provides same day or 24-hour response.
    • Addresses routine requests for replacement certificates of insurance and escalates new requests to Manager within established SOP’s. 
    • Addresses general questions such as policy inquiries, how to report claims, premium allocation amounts, etc. within established SOP’s.
  • Reporting:
    • Publishes quarterly actuarial reports to external actuarial team. Provides RMIS financial data management support/reporting/analysis on a monthly basis for sunset TPA and claims programs. Coordinates with external parties as needed to validate accuracy of reporting.
    • Ad hoc data reporting and analysis as needed.
  • Miscellaneous:
    • Assists with scheduling broker/partner meetings as needed. Maintains departmental records in accordance with HBI records retention program.
    • Compiles monthly open items reports for broker meetings.
    • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Required Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Years of Experience Required: 1
  • Years of Experience Preferred: 2+
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required:
    • Significant experience with Microsoft Office products (i.e., Excel and PowerPoint). Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Proven ability to develop reports in Excel.
    • Ability to work in risk management systems.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Experience Preferred:
    • At least two (2) years as an Insurance Analyst or equivalent role with experience in insurance program coordination or experience with a broker in an account coordinator or account manager role.
    • Knowledge of insurance programs and coverage options.
    • Knowledge of risk management principles and practices.
