The objective of the Finance Analyst position is to be part of the Supply Chain accounting team. This position is responsible, as part of the Corporate Supply Chain Accounting team, to accurately record, report and analyze supply chain transactions for Hanesbrands Inc. (“HBI”).

The Finance Analyst will work with others within the supply chain finance group and members of other finance functions, to ensure that accounting processes are in place in order to accurately and timely accumulate, record and report financial data. Continual adherence to HBI’s Global Code of Conduct, as well as governmental and regulatory standards (GAAP, SOX, etc.) is mandatory.

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the timely and accurate accounting and reporting of financial results to meet internal/external requirements.
  • Develop and implement accounting process improvements within, or impacting, the Supply Chain Accounting group.
  • Specific accounting responsibilities:
  • Monitor and process transactions on a daily basis
  • Complies with the monthly closing schedule
  • Ensures the overall accuracy of key ledger accounts including but not limited to inventory and supply chain accruals.
  • Prepares monthly journal entries to record transactions and adjustments in key ledger accounts
  • Work with the logistics group to process and resolve freight invoices
  • Summarize monthly freight expenses by mode of transportation and analyze freight spend to understand budget variances
  • Ensure intercompany profit elimination, settle receivables and payables, and reflect transactions accurately
  • Run monthly Life Cycle Analyzer reports, record excess and obsolete inventory reserves, and enhance reporting tools for sales and marketing
  • Prepare daily reports on interface errors between WMS and SAP, ensuring proper accounting and resolution
  • Prepares various comprehensive balance sheet account reconciliations/analyses as required
  • Supports accounting functions including preparation of monthly balance sheet review documentation, monthly supplemental schedules, quarterly/annual financial roll-forward schedules and supports compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley key controls.
  • Maintains and monitors control systems to safeguard the company’s assets and assure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Responds to internal and external audit inquiries as requested.
  • Prepares financial reports for management review.
  • Assists with ad hoc projects as requested. 

Requirements:

  • Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance
  • Minimum Experience: 2-3 years of similar positions
  • Preferred Experience: SAP and Lawson
  • Required English Language, Written & Spoken

Specific Skills or Experience Required:

  • Experience using Lawson, Hyperion and Blackline systems a plus
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills including Excel PivotTables and Formulas (V-Lookup, etc.)
