As the Lead Technical Solutions Owner, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end technical solution design and delivery process for our Salsify PIM (Product Information Management) system. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, architecture, Marketing and customer success to ensure the successful implementation of our solutions. Your role will involve translating business requirements into technical specifications, driving the development process, and ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives, business initiatives and customer needs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical solution design process, working closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, define scope, and outline deliverables.
  • Partner with the Business Solution Owner to translate business requirements into clear and actionable technical specifications and user stories.
  • Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to prioritize features and define the product roadmap.
  • Own the overall solution architecture and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance of the solution.
  • Drive the agile development process, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog grooming,  sprint reviews & quarterly PI-Planing.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular status updates and reviews, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, incorporating best practices into our solutions.
  • Advocate for strong data governance ensuring data maintains rules & structure, driving quality & accuracy from creation through to go-live
  • Conduct required or requested training & presentations for key business stakeholders

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree with 7+ years relevant work experience;
  • 11+ years of equivalent work experience can be substituted for Bachelor's degree
  • Master's 5+ years relevant work experience, preferred

 

Job Specific Competencies

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in technical solution design and software development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud technologies, and enterprise systems.
  • Hands-on experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric approach and a track record of delivering successful solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with PIM systems (preferably Salsify) and database solutions
